Leaving people behind

By Rosetta

We’re happy to stay ‘behind’. We live in the real world without cell phones, computers, and even computer chips in our cars. It’s simple, fun, fulfilling, and easy.

But we can’t get live music tickets, doctor appointments, or immunizations without the technological prison cells you build. You claim to want to include us but you don’t know how. You had a picture of yourself online before you were born. It’s not all your fault.

As we age, our eyes can’t see the screens and don’t care to. We can’t hear your weird words that make you feel cool. We don’t care about your mimic dances on the screens.

We love our faces and bodies without selfies or ussies. We love our time reading books printed on paper, walking outside in the fresh air, talking to real people face to face. We love the feeling of swimming in the ocean, listening to the birds sing, smelling the trees. We can dance in our bodies and feel the music head to toe and enjoy the experience without sharing it for others. We dance in our living rooms and kitchens when it feels good. We feel good most of the time!

We are deeply connected to plants, animals, and humans. The computers simply disconnect us. You are leaving us behind and we are happy to stay here.

We sound like crotchety old ladies, but crotchety old ladies live long fulfilling happy lives. We are happy to live a long life and see the world and all the humans for their beauty.

We don’t need the constant companion of TVs, phones, computers, internet. We don’t need to numb ourselves with drugs that promise to make it all better. It’s all useless noise to us.

We are connected to the frequency of spirit. We love that place, know that place, and it is real for us. One day if you break the chains of technology that numb and bind you, we will be there waiting.

At the doctor office, in the grocery store, on the mountain, under the trees, walking down the street. Just look up. Look into our eyes. We are here waiting for you to wake up and break free.
